About us
History at Huddersfield believes in creating a dynamic and interactive learning community, which allows students and staff to thrive. We combine a strong reputation for research, excellent student satisfaction and the desire to prepare our students for life after university. We see these three strands as inextricably linked. We were one of the first history departments to introduce a work placement module, and have introduced innovative assessments which include curating exhibitions with local and national museums, making podcasts, pamphlets and information boards for community organisations. This makes our students active researchers, well equipped for the world of work.
This blog provides a forum for students and staff from across History at Huddersfield. We hope that it will engage and inspire applicants, current students, community groups and potential employers through an insight into what it means to study History at the University of Huddersfield.
